Frequently Asked Questions:
Where are you located?
We are located next to the dam at Lake Raleigh very near the disc golf course. A trail runs from the parking lot of Lake Raleigh to the garden.
What do you do with the produce?
Eat it! We will have a harvest feast every season with some of the produce we grow. People who have been active members of the SOUL Garden are welcome to attend and celebrate the harvest. The rest/majority of the produce will be donated to Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, a local food bank specializing in perishable food.
What if I want to grow my own vegetables?
That's great! There is nothing better than growing and eating your own produce. SOUL Garden built two 12'X24" raised beds this summer. In Spring 2011, one bed will be a SOUL Garden bed for people who just want to garden. The other plot will be divided into 3'X4' plots that are available for rent for $10/season. This is available for students, professors, clubs, other student groups.
